Project VisAbility has recently placed its first wheelchair athlete as a group exercise instructor at Crunch Fitness, a major health club chain. He has been very well-received and the members love taking his classes. This has spurred interest and new requests from other locations and additional gyms/clubs. We are currently looking for candidates in the Washington, DC and Manhattan, NYC areas, who would like to be hired to lead exercise classes and work with members in fitness. In some cases, clubs may be willing to train and mentor, so most important is the candidates’ interest, skill level, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn.
